Calvary offers a wide range of opportunities for people of all ages to grow spiritually and intellectually.
Church school classes for children, youth and adults meet each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. during September through May. Children from the age of two and up are grouped by age or grade for classes. Junior high and senior high youth meet sometimes as separate groups and sometimes together for special events.
In June, July, and August, our adult, children and youth classes do not meet.
Adult classes offer a variety of formats: Bible study -- contemporary books or videos exploring spirituality and faith in modern life -- speakers about special topics. All these classes include time for discussion, and often spirited exchange of questions and views.
The Wired Word at Calvary is a class conducted each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the Heritage Room. It seeks to intersect current issues with our Christian faith, to engage us in thought about living faith in daily living, and to discuss the daily news in light of the good news. All are cordially welcome to join. Bible knowledge is not a prerequisite.
While parents participate in one of the adult classes, quality child care for infants and toddlers is provided in the nursery. The nursery offers bright colors and loving arms so that a child's first experience of the congregation is pleasant and warm. Nursery care also is available for children through age four during Morning Worship, year-round.
Other studies are offered at special times of the year, often on Wednesday evenings during the Lenten season. Check this site's calendar to see what is available. We invite you to learn and grow spiritually with us.

MODERN PARABLES --
Living in the Kingdom of God

What do the parables mean in today’s world? Modern Parables is a film-based Bible study on Jesus’ parables. Each lesson includes a 15 minute film that translates a parable into our modern world. It is a combination of outstanding cinema and solid biblical theology. Following each film there will be group discussion with a study guide. The discussion will be led by various members of the Bible study so it’s guaranteed to be a fun time! Explore how we love our neighbors, use our money, persist in prayer, as well as other important topics of Christ’s teachings.
The study begins on Monday, October 6, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm in the Naomi Room and continues every Monday for 8 weeks. Bring a lunch if you wish and nibbles are usually available. We love to eat and greet!! Come early to chat.
The cost of the book is $10 to be paid in the church office. Sign up either in the Chalice Room or the office (724-463-9197) by Sunday, Sept. 21, so enough books may be ordered.
